The New York Work Alliance is committed to your employment success. Our programs and services can help you find a job and access career advancement opportunities.

SKILLS ASSESSMENT
We can help you set realistic goals and plan the right course for your future. Our counselors assess your abilities, skills, education and work history so that we can develop the right strategy for your success on the job and to meet your self sufficiency needs. We also determine what other support service can help.

WORKFORCE PREPARATION
The Alliance work readiness training can help you learn or brush up on the basic skills and practices to prepare you for the workplace and increase your chances of getting and keeping the job. We can help you prepare or revise your resume and practice interviewing techniques. You can also access our resource room and computer lab to link you to information to help you in your job search.

TRAINING & SKILLS UPGRADES
The Alliance is an eligible training provider under the City’s One-Stop System. If you qualify, you may be eligible to receive training through vouchers. We offer employer-linked technology skills training to help prepare you for a wide variety of entry-level to advanced skill positions. We also offer training to prepare you for positions in the City’s hospitality industry.

Our training programs have been developed through partnerships with area businesses, trade associations, educational institutions and other training providers.

We also offer training that can help you improve your English language skills so that you can get a job or enhance your career.

JOB PLACEMENT
In our more than twenty years in the workforce development, we have established strong ties to New York City’s business and service provider communities. Our past clients are now employed in a wide variety of New York City businesses – for hospitals, home health care agencies, hotels and retail stores and office jobs. We also help people access jobs and skills upgrade training in technology occupations.

At the New York Work Alliance, federal and state agencies as well as private foundations fund our programs so that we can provide you with a full range of services.
